Feed Durability and Feed Quality of Concentrate Feed with Addition of Monosodium Glutamate Manufacturing by-products

Abstract This research was conducted at the Nutrition and Animal Feed Laboratory, Beef Cattle Research Institute, Grati, Pasuruan, East Java. study aimed to determine effect of addition MSG by-product on durability nutritional content concentrate. The material used in this concentrate, which contained several raw materials added with levels. treatments applied were: Treatment A: 5 Kg Concentrate (C) + 12% by product (OP); B: C 16% OP; C: 20% D: 24% OP. Observations variables were carried out for 4 weeks, data obtained analyzed descriptively. results showed that until fourth week storage, there no differences flavor, clumpiness, louse, fungus A, B, C, D. In color it known treatment D had a brownish but darkest when compared other dust produced A appears have highest dust. However, found total acid has content, as result adding OP concentration resulting formation fermentation occurs during feed shelf life. Based these data, can be concluded concentrate could maintain its quality storage warehouse.
